To start this Blog; I’m going to talk a little-bit about the church. What is going on with the church today? Being saved just over ten years and being call to minister for over 7 years have I learn more than what I wanted to learn. I am not talking about what I have learned scripturally and spiritually, what I am talking about the politics that are in the church.
Now unfortunately there will always some type of politics in church. Whether it is the pastor that uses politics, certain members, or even the church body, politics is somewhere in the church. Politics that when a church wants to grow and do the things that the Bible asked of them to do but where there are individuals or an individual that does not. So because of this, the church doesn’t grow because the leadership is too afraid to get anyone upset.
The biggest thing is I could not believe that leadership of a church are willing to allow individuals who continues to sin. I am not meaning those who fall or sin because of character faults. We all have those faults that Jesus is pruning away after salvation. I am talking about those who choose willfully to cause problems in the church.
For example, there was a certain lady asked by the pastoral staff to reorganize one of the children programs that need help baddy and so she agreed. For two weeks the class had to be canceled do to parties that were not known about. Final the third week came and the class as about to start. But a certain teacher of the church knew about lady teaching class so conveniently she waited in the wall. After the teacher find out she started to cry uncontrollable and causing a seen in the wall of the in front of where the youth do their services. This caused a big seen. Because of this the Children director got on to the Lady for causing the problem.
To make this short, the lady was no able to start her class. Remember she was asked by the pastors to do so. This lady is respect by several leaders in that section, knows kids programs, gone through training after training and has been asked to start a kid’s camp in that section. The Pastors told her to wait on the class after the issue is resolved. It been a month and a half, a meeting was suppose to be schedule but it has never happen. So the class never started but the teacher she allowed to do children’s church. But it has been proven that this teacher just has a personal problem with the lady.
This is where the politics came to play. The pastor does not want to upset the teacher because it could cause a problem, remember the teacher has support of the children director. And I must mention the church spilt 3 to 4 year ago. So the lady respectfully is not going to teach the class and is leaving the church so that the problem can go away.
The question is when did the sheep stating leading the shepherd? I seeing more and more pastors and preacher preaching a soft gospel; preaching what the crowd wants to hear instead of what God’s word says. The church is not a vending machine. The church is not a place were sinners can come in so God can love their sin. No! The church is a place where sinners can come in, have their life change by the repenting of their sins and accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior, and leaving knowing that they are change within, and not desiring to sin anymore. And preaching the true gospel will upset some people.
